Am I Overprotective?

Yup.

Jenna has been cruising for a few weeks and I am having a heart attack. This week she's becoming brave and letting go and standing for short periods of time. Like her brother did she never seems to fall on the carpet, only on the hardwood floors. This morning alone she's fallen 4 times and she's been up less than an hour. Although she woke up with a nasty cold this morning so her balance may be off. It's either that or the Dimetapp I gave her earlier.

I saw this thing in One Step Ahead and thought we'd give it a try for when she starts cruising and walking. Well, for one thing it was a heck of a lot bulkier than I thought. She looks more like a sheik than a baby. Tripp thinks I'm nuts for getting it. I'm pretty sure Jenna thinks I am too. She hates it. I wasn't going to make her wear it all the time, just every once in a while and in the privacy of our own home. ;-) Seriously, when it arrived I was going to return it but Kieran tore up the box so we were stuck with it. Now it gives us a good giggle.

It's not even 9am this morning and the day has already been crazy. The weather is wild outside and Kieran is wild inside. We tried a box of Fruity Cheerios and they're making him hyperactive. He reacts to some red dyes and this seems to be one of them. Nothing like being stuck in the house with a kid bouncing off the walls in the middle of a hurricane. Thank god I'm leaving at 10:30 to get my hair cut.

As for the Christmas jammies, I bought them on sale thinking they'd fit her by this Christmas. WRONG. I need to learn not to buy ahead with her. She's almost out of them. So we're trying to get our money's worth. I just can't waste a good pair of Hanna Zippers.
