I discovered this afternoon that we have a new neighbor. We've had the most amazing grasshoppers in our yard this year. I've never seen this many of them here before, 0r at least not as big as the ones we've had recently.
Kieran was helping me water the plants this afternoon and when we went out back we ran into a grasshopper that was probably a little over 2 inches long hiding on the slide. He was amazing. We named him Jimminy. Kieran was fascinated with him and was really good to give him his space.
When I mentioned him to Tripp he said that they saw him this weekend on our fence. He's HUGE in person, almost the size of a Praying Mantis. I certainly hope he's the only one that size in the yard. So I guess he's here for a while.
