I don't know who is more excited about our new storm door in our household. I think it's probably me but everyone seems to love it. We unfortunately paid far more than we should have with a company who charges far more than they should but because of our house being so old and everything's so uneven and not standard size we went with the company with the best reputation. I'm just so happy we finally did it. I've been waiting almost 6 years for this and finally convinced Tripp that we need it. The nice thing about it is that the screen is a special heavy duty screen that will not only hold the kids in if they lean up against it but the cats too. If we had a dog he or she would be safe and sound indoors. No, I'm not going to get a dog to test it out. Tempting, though.;-) Right now the storm glass is in there so we haven't had the chance to test it but once it starts getting warm we will.
My only issue with the door is how easy it is to unlock. I discovered this big problem yesterday afternoon. Kieran was in the bathroom doing his duties and Jenna came into the bathroom, got a hold of his yogurt and spilled it everywhere. If there was a crevace there was yogurt in it. I made everyone remove themselves from the bathroom so I could clean and literally under 2 minutes later I hear my next door neighbor outside saying "Does your Mom know you're out here?" UH, NO!!! Both kids were out on the front porch! Thank God for Robin! She tells me JENNA was the first one out. I don't know how that happend but something tells me her brother had something to do with that. He was already told the other day that he must not open that door or go outside without me or Tripp. Someone got in trouble for that one!
